I have a remote user that attaches to a Cisco 3030.
Desktop is Win-XP, VPN Client 3.5.2.C-K9
Internet connection is via Direcway.com satelite
User claims that after using VPN for several weeks, and no changes to local PC, suddenly received error "VPN Subsystem is not available"
Walked user thru uninstalling VPN client.
Re-installed client
When she click OK to re-boot after install, the PC hangs. User must power down to restart.
After restart, the PC screen is black with only the mouse showing.
User then reboots to last known good config, uninstalls vpn client, and PC returns to normal.
Any ideas??????

Hi Hines,
When it happens next time, kindly go ahead and uninstall the client in Safe Mode and then install the latest one, if it still happens again after a while, open a TAC case and send them all the information to troubleshoot this with you further.

Aamir
