WWW at Inside HELP

Dear PIX Gurus,

I have a www server configured in inside. Have a static translation to the www server and also created an access list to permit www to the server. But still cannot browse the www from inside nor outside.

Any links for this?

Many Thanks,

HATO

route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 gateway 1

I don't find any other reference to "gateway 1" in your config. This one must point to the ISP's router interface.

Re: WWW at Inside HELP

Thank You for your quick response. Yes....it's work now. Can you tell me how the alias work? if I clear the alias. Inside users cannot access to the webserver.

Can we specify a range of ports in PIX?

Many THanks,

HATO

Re: WWW at Inside HELP

Accessing your web server from inside or outside means 2 differents and independent configuration.

First: Outside. You need the trio static/access-list/access-group.

Second: To access your server from inside. You should be able to access it directly using his inside IP address. Now, the rest of the solution depends of your DNS server(s), is there an inside DNS server who served inside users only and and outside DNS serving the Web server OR only outside DNS server serving both inside users (resolution) and Web server. The way you are using the DNS will give you the solution. If you tell us a little more about your DNS(es), we will be able to help you more.

Re: WWW at Inside HELP

Hi,

We used ISP DNS, so consider outside DNS.
