PE CE Private BGP AS vs public AS

Hi,

In service provider real world, what is the ASN range (Public or Private) used in case of using BGP as PE-CE protocol (for both CE managed service or unmanaged) ?  knowing that in our MPLS core we  already run Public ASN for L3VPN route exchange via two route reflector.

the same public ASN is used for the eBGP peering with upstream provider for Intenet services.

Our customer is running private ASN for L3VPN and Public ASN for eBGP where public prefixes are advertised.

If your customer/subscriber has a public ASN then establish a BGP peering session with your public ASN. There other way would be private ASN. It also depends if your subscriber has their own public IP prefix that you should advertise upstream.
