We are replacing our old Subsciber Mnager server form our Service Contorl platform, and I need you to confirm this and explain it to me if possible, I'm not certian of it:
so, after installing the SM on the new machine, and setting the configuration file correctly and all;
we have to import the subscribers' CSV file from the old machine's SM database! and the cable modem configuration too;
then, just connect the new machine to the platform, is that all!
and my quistion is, what if we didn't import the subscriber CSV file from the old machine's database? doesn't that just mean that the new SM will just create the datatbase again? how important is this step and why should we do it?
