suddenly address-family ipv4

Hi all,

I'm new to BGP & MPLS world, Can anyone explain why "address-family ipv4" command appeared suddenly in the show run configuration. i searched all the logs I'm sure i didn't configured that.

my IOS version Version 12.4(17a), If this behavior introduced by peers ?

Dear Arul ,

The "address-family ipv4" and "address-family vpnv4" will appear in your config when you configure mpls address famililies , eventhough you are not configuring ipv4 address families . all the noraml bgp statements and neighbors will come under ipv4 address family
