1242 A radio does not come up

I have converted a 1242 to LWAPP. I had it join the WLC which is running many 1132's.

I notice that the b/g radio is up but the A radio of teh 1242 is not.

I see in teh radio interfaces for this AP, the a radio has Admin status enbaled; Oper Status DOWN; and Regulatory Domain - Not Supported??

Why is the 1242 a radio not coming up?

What is the firmware version of the radio? OLder A radios (with part numbers ending in "20" , I think)? It might be that the older 'A' radios are not supported.

If it is a hardware Rev issue, you can get update/upgrade radios from places like CDW (www.cdw.com).

What version of LWAPP code did you install?

I would also check on the WLC what the Country Code the LAP is set to.

This is a "new" 1242 - but it did not get shipped with LWAPP

For the 1242 we get:

IOS 12.4.16b JA

Boot 123.7.1

SW 5.1.151.0

The WLC is running 5.1.151.0
