An attempt to connect a Cisco Access Point (AP) in autonomous mode as a Workgroup Bridge (WGB) to an AP in Lightweight Access Point Protocol (LWAPP) mode does not work. Even if the autonomous AP is converted from autonomous to LWAPP mode, the configuration does not work. The AP WGB feature does not work if the AP is in LWAPP mode. Also, APs in LWAPP mode do not support the Cisco Aironet Extension capability, which is a requirement for WGB.

so your saing autonomous AP will connect with a 1300 in autonomous mode? just not when a LWAPP AP in the mix.
