I have a WiSM which manages 2600 LAP's. it seems when i add any new ones they join the controller, i can see the config is downloading but they then reboot and start again.

I rebooted the WiSM which seemed to resolve this but ive added some more and they are doing the same. I dont want to have to keep rebooting the controller.

has anyone had this issue before?

cheers

If you have Wism , the last code supported was 7.0.X, for 2602 you need minimum 7.2.x or above.

Thank you

Hi Michael,

I think its a bug .

Dont know the exact bug number but may be this one: CSCum80710

also see the compatibilty matrix: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html

Regards

Thanks for the replies

I upgraded the WiSM to support the 2602's.

The bug does seem possible but the matrix also shows we are using the most up to date version.

I have two WiSM's:

WS-SVC-WISM2-K9
ver 7.4.121.0

AP's

AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9
AIR-CAP2602I-E-K9

Prime

1.3.0.20

ISE

1.2.0.899

patch 6

The bug search does say this is fixed in ver 7.4(122.18) so I guess I need to try an upgrade

Thanks
