I need to connect 5 wireless PCs to another building (100m away). Can I use one AP running as a repeater (with the 5 clients) at the remote building and another AP at the main site.
client----AP(repeater)===100m===AP(root)-----Switch
I have been looking at using 1 AP connected to a bridge across to another bridge.
client----AP--WB===100m===WB---Switch.
Anybody done the top solution before, or should I stick to the bottom design?

I have a similar solution installed not with one repeater but several repeaters using handheld terminals and it works ok. Only problem is the bandwidth reduction this solution causes specially at the end of the line.

I had this discusion with cisco tech and here is the answer:
Repeter access point will shut off the ethernet side so you can only use wireless client on the repeter access point side.
