4402 controller high LAN utilization(600 Mbps)

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to configure Cisco 4402 series wireless lan controller on a proof of concept lab, but it's generating extremely high LAN utilization (around 600-700 Mbps) on its connected port to backbone switch. We are using GLC-T on 4402's port 0 for local connectivity. This traffic is starting even we do not use any access points in wireless network.

I configured controller 2 times after resetting to factory default, but the result is the same.

This is not an issue I've heard of.  Are you managing the controller with a SNMP device?  I would suggest you start with a sniffer sourcing the ports going to the controller to see what the traffic is and where/to its going.

problem has been solved by adding "switchport trunk allowed vlan x,y,z" command to the backbone switch.
