5500 Controller/1200 Series AP Problem

I am having trouble getting a 1200 series AP to join our controller. We have 1252's and 1242's sucessfully connected. We are running the latest code on the controller. The LWAP image on the AP is c1200-rcvk9w8-tar.124-21a.JA2. This is what the AP says over the console connection:

*Mar  1 00:00:06.642: %LWAPP-3-CLIENTEVENTLOG: Unable to open event log file flash:/event.log

yeah you would have to go back to a 7.0.  I'd go with the latest 7.0 code

What version of code are you running on the WLC?  Can you capture the following debugs concurrently?

debug mac address < ap mac>

debug capwap events

debug capwap erros

Here is the code we are running on the WLC: AIR-CT5500-K9-7-2-103-0. Attached is a log file from the debug commands.

ok.  7.2 does not support the 1200 AP.  1130, 1240 and anything newer.

Ah. Ok. Thank you. Would we have to go back to an older code to support them? And if so, which version?

1. 1231G AP can only support 7.0.x series and you have the higher version(7.4.100.0).

2. You have regulatery domain -E- on AP and you must use -R- Domin on AP

If you want to connect this AP to WLC then you must downgrade it.

Here is the compatibilty matrix:
