I have been using the Cisco Aironet 350 wireless pcmcia card with my IBM Thinkpad T21 running Windows 2000 for several months now. The adapter still works, however I now have an annoying problem with ACU. Whenever I reboot my machine, I have to go into ACU, select Commands|Edit Properties.., select the Network Security tab, and then check the checkboxes next to Allow Association to Mixed Cells and Enable WEP. I am running ACU 4.15 because my work network requires this version. Even though the Mixed Cells and WEP checkboxes are checked, the settings get lost everytime I reboot my computer.
I noticed this problem after I had installed my friend's Linksys WPC11 wireless adapter to try to resolve problems she was having. After removing the LInksys adapter, I thought I had also removed all the software and drivers with it, but it appears that the Linksys configuration did something to cause the problem I am seeing with my Aironet card.
I appreciate any help.
