AIR-BR1310G-E-K9 Transmit Power

I've configured an AIR-BR1310G-E-K9 today as an access point. This model has the integrated antenna.

I noticed in the GUI the maximum transmit power was only 5mW. The CLI backed this up:

hostname(config-if)#power local ofdm ?

<1 - 5> One of: 1 5

maximum Set power to allowed maximum

I didn't see any settings for antenna gain. 5mW seems very low, compared to my 1231, which can be configured to 50mW.

Am I missing something?

Thanks.

With regards to the maximum allowed power that can be configured in correlation with the

antenna, the following link about 1310

Bridge, and clearfy that this type of bridges provides you with various values of CCKs

(1,5,10 and 20) and it related to the type of antenna you use.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/access_point/1300/12.2_15_JA/configuration/guide/o13chan.html

On the other hand the maximum transmit value allowed is detected according each individual

country.

And here the link in which you can find the power range of available power values at the

Bridge.
