aironet 1200/350

Hi all,

Im designing a wireless network for around 60000 nodes. Im new to the Wireless networking. I want to know how much users can be accomodated in each level of cisco products like aironet 350, 1200 etc. is there any impact on performance if more users are squeezed in?

Thanx,

Ramesh

Re: aironet 1200/350

The Access Point has the physical capacity to handle 2,048 MAC addresses. However, given that the Access Point is a shared medium, and acts as a wireless hub, each user's performance decreases as the number of users increases on an individual Access Point.

So, on a 1200, if you have 200 users within it's coverage range, what kind of load could it handle? Is there any formula to "ballpark" calculate that?

What about VLANs on the 1200? Will that help any?

Thanks.
