Aironet 1200 AP RADIUS verification failure.

We have been working with 350's for some time, but recently decided to fit 1200's in a new site. This seems to have raised a couple of issues, firstly - the IPSU utility will not return the AP IP address - even though it is on the same subnet and the AP's are switched on and in use. The second problem we have encountered is a warning on the AP summary screen:

RADIUS verification failed for Server <Access Control Server IP>. Probable shared secret mismatch.

This happens as soon as a user authenticates with the AP, and repeats every 10 mintues after. It does not affect the users connectivity and will allow further users to authenticate. I have checked and reset the shared secret at both ends but no change, any ideas?

Re: Aironet 1200 AP RADIUS verification failure.

I Agree..IPSU deosn't work all the time..It is nothing but a GUI representation of a DOS command

arp -s

Try the procedure described in following url

If it dosen't work, you need to console in to manually assign ip address.

Now for the second probelm, is it happened on all the AP1200 you have or on some of them? Pl. let us know the image that you have on your AP1200.

Re: Aironet 1200 AP RADIUS verification failure.

Thanks, will try that to assign IP's.

We have a mix of 350's and 1200's in our current site and this setup works fine with none of the above warnings. The 1200's in the other site have system firmware 11.54 and radio firmware 4.99.72.
