Aironet 1200

I am in the process of adding the g radio upgrade kit, AIR-MP21G-A-K9 to an older Aironet 1200 b radio. Does the g upgrade kit support the AIR-ANT1728 antenna? I currently have two AIR-ANT4941 antennas on the b radio and would like to boost my Aironet's broadcast range by going with a stronger omnidirectional antenna - thus my reason for picking the Air-Ant1728. If the Air-Ant1728 does not work on this upgr, what antenna would you recommend?

Yes, you should be good to go with the 1728. The 1728 is a 2.4 GHz product with RP-TNC connectors that we have used in many areas with good success. Have a look;

AIR-ANT1728 (Omnidirectional) Ceiling-mount indoor antenna with **RP-TNC connector**-This antenna was designed for WLAN applications with frequencies of 2400-2500 MHz. The antenna is omni directional and has a nominal gain of 5.2 dBi. It comes with a clip that allows it to be mounted to a drop-ceiling cross member.

Hi Thomas,

You can find the IOS level from the CLI by using the Show Version (sh ver) command within the enable mode.

The access point also has a web interface feature. Using the web interface choose the System Configuration link, then select Upgrade. The current IOS level is displayed on this page.
