Aironet 340 on MacOS X

I'm using a Cisco Aironet 340 pcmcia radio on a Apple PowerBook G4.

I notice that the Aironet Status Utility allocates about 4KBytes of memory a second. (checking memory utilization via top).

If I leave the machine powered on for several days, the memory usage of the Aironet Status Utility grows up several hundred Megs of RAM (resident).

I'm using ACU Version 3.0.0 and Mac OS X 10.2.6

If I kill the Aironet Status Utility, inserting the radio will lock up the system.

Any ideas anyone?
