AP 350's lose connectivity to both wired and radio after about 10 minutes

We are experiencing a problem with AP 350's losing connectivity. This has occured with 3 separate 350s.

The original has been operating normally for a few months. Started dropping associations and the HTML interface would no longer allow connections and Ping response to wire port became intermittent.

Have tried two replacement 350s and continue to see the same scenario. Pinging constantly after the AP is powered on indicate that connectivity seems to drop at right near 10 minutes.

These use inline power so we've tried swapping out the ethernet cable and different ports on the switch with no apparent change.

Again the original was working a few months with no problems. We've not been able to identify anything else that has changed in the area.

Any thoughts on anything else to check???

Just a thought, check the area for rouge ap, microwave ovens, 2.4ghz phones. It sounds like a enviornemntal problem. Try move it to a diffrent wall in the same area.

Hope this helps.

I came across this in the release notes for 350 VxWorks s/w v12.04 under Open Caveats:

"CSCec60688—The access point sometimes drops all client associations and stops communicating

through both the radio and Ethernet ports.

Workaround: Disable DNS on the access point."

Here's a link to the error details in the Bug Tool:

Hope that helps,

Below are some suggestions that will work for you.

1 Upgrade the firmware to atleast 12.04 released

last week.

2 After upgrade you might want to reset the device

one to factory defaults if the present firmware is

11.x.

3 Try to keep the ethernet setting on the AP other

than 10 base half.

This will surely resolve the issue.
