Hi,
What is the maximum height at which a light weight integrated antenna AP can be placed?

Hi Suresh,
There is no maximum mounting height for AP's that I have ever seen or heard of. I have always tried to mount AP's at a height that was reachable from a 12 foot stepladder for ease of maintenance.
Hope this helps!

Depending upon the model of the AP, you can also adjust the beam with external antennae. In our case, we had no choice but to mount some of the APs 20+ ft up. Another option is to change the angle of installation to alter the polarity (think of a donut turned on its side). You can also turn off one of the sides on the 10x0 series APs.

Just remember RF rules still apply..
This is purely an EXAMPLE.. Do not use the following numbers in your config unless you require them...
Say you set your AP to a power value which results in a coverage of 50' in all directions... If you mount the AP 100' in the air, your users on the ground will be unable to establish a connection.
