We have several 1100 series access points with multiple ssid/vlans configured on each. We have not been able to get any of our clients to connect to a non-broadcast ssid regardless of the security settings, as soon as we change that ssid to broadcast the clients connect fine. Cards include netgear wag511, linksys dualband pci and dell truemobile 1150 series mini pci. Any ideas? AP and card drivers have all been updated.

Most people make typo errors while keying in the SSIDs. Double check the configuration of the SSIDs. Have you configured WEP ?If yes double check the WEP keys on each of them and make sure they are the same.

ssid is fine and wep doesn't matter either way, again I can take the working broadcasted ssid and switch it to non-broadcast without changing any other setting and the clients can no longer connect to it. Tried it with and without wep.
thanks
