Hi, Is there any limitations on the Cisco 1240AG configured in bridge mode regarding distance?

Re: AP1240AG in Bridge Mode Distance Limitations

When you Install Automatic Mode, the default distance setting is 61.5 mi. (99 km). When you change the role in radio network from Install Automatic Mode to Root or Non-Root, the distance setting changes automatically from 61.5 mi. (99 km) to 0 mi. (0 km).

Re: AP1240AG in Bridge Mode Distance Limitations

Hi,

depends on your antennas. Regarding to this document

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps7183/ps469/product_data_sheet09186a008022b11b.html

you achieve the longest distance for 54MBit of about 19km with the AIR-ANT58G28SDA-N.

We installed a bridge once with two AP1242, each connected through an AIR-ANT1949, and we got 54MBit over 2km as promised.

So i think you can trust the information in this document (Line of sight given).

Regards,

Sebatian
