bizarre dhcp problem

I have a 1231g AP that works great except for one thing. Wireless clients that get a dhcp address get a lease expiration date of 1969, hence they try to renew their address every few minutes. They pick up the address correctly, along with the gateway, dns, etc. But because they're perpetually trying to renew their lease, they drop their connection every time the lease renews. A continuous ping from one of the clients shows packet loss at the time the lease renews. Our dhcp server resides on a Netware 5.1 server - we do not use the dhcp function of the AP. Any help would be much appreciated.

The problem is with the Netware 5.1 server. The AP just takes the information given to it and forwards it to the clients. It does not change any of the information. Check the configuration on your server.

I'm pretty sure the netware server is fine; none of our wired clients have this problem.
