I'm a sucker for Cisco gear and thought I found a good deal when I ran across a HWIC-AP-A/G that would have been a great addition to my 1841. I "rammed" it in it's little slot and it spewed these terrible words:

Feb 18 03:45:48.231: %HW-2-OBSOLETE_HW_VER: Module Version in 0/0/-1 is obsolet

e

*********************************************************************

* IMPORTANT !!! *

* The module in bay/slot/sub_slot = 0/0/-1 is obsolete and must *

* be returned via RMA to Cisco Manufacturing. If it is a lab unit, *

* it must be returned to Proto Services for upgrade. *

*********************************************************************

I have never seen this message in my life. Anyone know what I may have purchased here and if I can remedy the situation?

Thanks a bunch!

Bob

Please go to http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps5853/products_data_sheet0900aecd8016a59b.html and take a look at the Table 6 to see if this particular module is supported by 1841. If it is listed as supported then the HWIC you purchased must be a bad unit. That may be why you are seeing words like "obsolete" and "RMA".
