Could you help me with the commands to set it up ?

I am not able to find the DHCP Server option on the HTTP pages.

I've never tried it on a WAP, howerver here is the config that works for Windows clients on a Cisco Router.

ip dhcp pool

network

domain-name

dns-server

netbios-name-server

netbios-node-type b-node

default-router

I use this config to hand out address' to windows workstations at my ADSL/IPsec WAN sites. Let me know if the config works on a WAP with IOS.

Thank you for the responce. I know how to setup with the above commands. The question is if a Cisco AP has a built in DHCP server and could it assign IPs. I have worked with AP350 and Ap1200s to know that they doen have a built in DHCP server ro a pool to asign IP address.

I was interested to know if Mr. Travis's reply is accurate.

Hello,

I think Mr. Travis is right. jschulle suggested commands are working. You can set up a 1200 AP to ba a DHCP-Server. But only IOS-Versions. See:

(you have to copy the link and modify the address like removing "javascript' " at the beginning of the address and " ' " at the end of the address!)

Hello,

If you have 10+ AP 1200s and a wireless client could be in range of 4 APs at any one time how would you configure DHCP accross the APs ?

Regards,

Robyn

I think proxy mobile IP will get done what you want to do.

Hope this helps.

Both the above links are in the partner area only. Is there a way to get these to a public portion of the site?

Sorry for the trouble. Please try this one.
