Hi guys, im having some trouble here. I dont think my cards are faulty (4 cards in 2 6500 switches), it would be a great coincidence.. but here is my problem:

I connect directly to my WISM cards, boot them (insert them), I see it turning on, enabling services, and as soon as the "username:" prompt apears, the Status led turns off and I lose console. This happens with every card, so I guess theres something wrong im doing.

Do you guys know any clue?

Where did the WiSM you got come from?  The service port should be DHCP by default, but I have seen them act up as well.

Are you able to hit the front edge with 960/none/8/1 flow controll off?

If not, I'd open a TAC case and get them in to take a look and possible RMA.

Where did it come from? directly from Cisco if thats what you mean. Still no luck with the console port in the card . You can see the boot process but as soon as the prompt apears you lose conection.

I am having the same exact problem with a couple of WISM mdoules, how was this solved?

Thanks,

Jawad

It was a stupid setting in our terminal software :S

Isn't is supposed to be 9600-8-N-1 setting?

I actually have the same problem, tried different terminal softwares with no luck

Thanks,

Jawad

We had to disable some XOR or something feature in SecureCRT enabled by default. Just make sure to disable everything not needed.

flowcontrol should be set to none.
