Changing Regulatory Domain on a Aironet 350 client card

I'm doing wireless installations in several countries but I purchase APs and 350 Client cards from France. How can I change the regulatory Domain of a 350 client card to make it fully work for example in the US or in Japan?

Laurent.

Hi. You have to put the client in World Mode in order for it to reflect a different regulatory domain.

Click on Edit from the Profile Manager.

Select the RF Network tab.

Check the box labelled 'World Mode'.

This will enable the client card to receive available channels and maximum broadcast power settings from the AP.

There are a few limitations of this mode, however:

1.) It only works with AP's in infrastructure mode.

2.) The AP needs to be set for World Mode as well.

Please see the following guide for more info on World Mode:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/wlan_adapter/350_cb20a/user/windows/1.0/configuration/guide/winicg5.pdf

Hope this helps. If so, please rate.

Hi,

In fact I'd like to know how can I change the regulatory domain of the client card itself?

Is it possible?

Thanks in advance for your help,

L.Gorisse
