Hello,
I just purchased the cisco 2000 wireless lan controller, and i am having troubles connecting to the console. I have tried win2000 SP4, winXP SP2, i am using 9600-8-N-1. All my terminal says is connected, but nothing dislays. Could it be the cable i am using (are there different types of DB9 cables?). I am using a DB9 female (plugged to WLC) to DB9 female (plugged to comp io port) by the way. Could it be the WLC (it's new).
Please help.
Thanks

you should be using Ethernet cable not crossover because the controller is like a switch and aps are like routers. let me see the sh run of the controller let me see what I can get out of there but I am sure that is the layer one issue.

you want to use a straight through RS232 cable, and you want to make sure that you have flowcontrol set to none as well.
