Cisco 3650 - Converged Wireless Access - Denali 16.3.5 - AIR-AP2802I-E-K9

Can somebody tell me if AIR-AP2802I-E-K9 supported by Denali 16.3.5? I can't make it register. It receives 2 IP addresses from the DHCP pool. When I look at the traces I see the following messages:

-- this is unknown address: srcAddr=34.178.84.10 (the AP was just received from Cisco)

Re: Cisco 3650 - Converged Wireless Access - Denali 16.3.5 - AIR-AP2802I-E-K9

it looks like the 2800 is in ME not in AP mode.

I see this info on AP logs:

Cisco Aironet 2800 Series Mobility Express
Welcome to the Cisco Wizard Configuration Tool
Use the '-' character to backup

Would you like to terminate autoinstall? [yes]:

can you double check. ("show version" from AP2800 will be better )

You can follow below link to convert to capwap AP. (section: Converting a Mobility Express AP into a CAPWAP AP)

Converged Access (CA) is not supported beyond Cisco IOS XE Denali 16.3.x.

Thanks. I am aware about that. But the version in use is 16.3.x
It is not supported in 16.5.x and 16.6.x

It means starting from version 16.3.X (and later), Converge Access is not supported.

Another option is to load Converge Access to at AP that can support this feature.

Leo, I don't want to argue but this is not mentioned in the release notes of 16.3.5 or I don't see it?

Re: Cisco 3650 - Converged Wireless Access - Denali 16.3.5 - AIR-AP2802I-E-K9

My initial statement is incorrect.

The final support for Converge Access is 16.3.X.

CONVERGE.pngThe "new" Converge Access will be supported by the 9300, 9400 & 9500 called "UADP 2.0".

Re: Cisco 3650 - Converged Wireless Access - Denali 16.3.5 - AIR-AP2802I-E-K9

Hi Vepannir,

I am attaching the output from the AP. There is noting in the log of the switch regarding the wireless negotiation. I have a trace of capwap negotiation part of which I have attached in the beginning.
