CISCO AIR AP1131AG

I am implementing a wireless solution for a small hotel - Wooden Frame - 3 floors. Has anyone used 1130 or 1131 ap as an autonomous unit in any such enviroment. Also, what would be the maximum number of devices this unit, setup autonomously, would support simultaneously.

I have certainly seen both a 1130 and 1131 used in these environments.

In a multi-floor envirnoment as you describe, depending on exaclty how big it is, one AP may or may not be enough. The only way to tell for sure is to perform a site survey.

I believe that there is a technical limitation of 255 associations. However, remember that wireless is a shared medium, so as a general rule of thumb I would recommend keeping the number of simultaneous associations to under 15 if possible. In a hotel environment, where performance may not be as crucial, you can probably stretch that a bit higher. But, I certainly wouldn't recommend over 25.
