Hi,
Because of end-of-life of the wireless AP 1140 series, we decided to switch to the 1600 series.
We have now several AIR-SAP-1602E devices which show the same behaviour:
On the web interface, there is an error indicated for the transmitter power (see screenshot attached).
Question: Is this a known issue (bug in the interface?,...) or is there actually something wrong.
Output power is measured to be about 3db lower than compared with the 1142.
Attached are the supported dual band Cisco Antenna's.

please issue "show interface dot11radio1 ) output here to see.
How do you power your APs?
is this issue happenign with all APs?

Thank you for replying.
The problem occurs on all AP's.
The AP's are powered via a power injector PWRINJ4 from Cisco.
Not sure what you mean by the interface status? I attached another screenshot, hope this is what you want to see.

Hi,
Tried several actions using the CLI. What I can see is that the AP is accepting the CLI commands and is executing them correctly.
This leads me to conclude that the webinterface is buggy.
- The web interface continues to show an error for the transmitter power.
- The web interface does not allow you to select a single channel on 5 Ghz(only DFS is possible)
For my application, I really need to be able to rely on the web interface as these AP's will be used worldwide by service engineers which are not so knowledgeable with WiFi.
Does anyone know of a fix from Cisco?

Just a question on the side, are you really using an antenna gain with 128 dBi?
This is what is configured under your radio as per your colleagues:
antenna gain 128

Hi Amjad,
No, I use the standard dual band antenna from Cisco. Gain is 2 dBi for 2.4Ghz and 4 dBi for 5 GHz.
I have configured this so in the AP.
The config that Sven posted is not from my AP (but has indeed an antenna gain of 128dBi which cannot be correct?)
It is strange that Cisco has not yet picked up on this interface issue. I would expect that not able to work the Access Point on a fixed channel is a serious problem.
