I am currently working on a Cisco Aironet 1200 Series that works intermittently. Sometimes the laptops see this access point/other times they can't find it at all. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

In this case, configure a syslog server, check the event log once this happens, check for crash files, or .rcore files on the AP.
