Hello;

I have a CISCO Aironet AP 1600i with an Autonomous IOS & a Motorola HandHeld MC3190 runs Windows Mobile 6.5 Classic.

I tried to connect the HandHeld with the AP but failed, It keeps trying to connect but with no success..

Do you know how can I fix this issue, please?

I am really lost!

Hello Mounir,

Is it only Motorola HandHeld MC3190 that doesn't connect?

Did you try any other device?

For configuration please refer: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/access_point/15-3-3/configuration/guide/cg15-3-3.html

Hello Moin Ilyas;

Yes, only Motorola HandHeld MC319ZEU (I tried 2 of them same Issue). It Is the only device that runs Windows Mobile 6.5 Classic. The other devices are fine (Android, Windows 7, Windows 8 "PC").

Hello Mounir,

What authentication are you using to authenticate clients?

Try to keep it to Open Authentication and share results.

Thanks.

Hello; It is already an opened authentication... (Thank you so much for your helpful efforts that we appreciate).

Pls attach your AP configuration to have a look

Rasika

Pls access the AP vial CLI & get the "show run " output in text file format. That is easy to read & understand how it configured.

Did you try with different IOS version to see the behavior is same ? I would do that as configuration is pretty basic,cannot think of any issues with that

Hello;

If you mean the Lightweight and Autonomous, I have tried both of them but no positive result. Same thing.. the HandHeld failed to connect to the AP.

I am loosing my mind.. What about the CCX thing? I read an article said that I have to disable the CCX Extensions for a WlanID.. What do you say?

HI,

I mean different code of Autonomous code (like ap1g2-k9w7-tar.152-4.JB6.tar).

Is it possible to take a wireless packet capture on the 2.4GHz frequency this AP operates when client is trying to connect. That will tell us exact reason why client cannot associate to your network.

Manannalage rasika Nayanajith;

There Is different versions, you are right, I used only the last one.

Excuse me, would you please explain to me the last Idea you said? I did not get It well.. Or show me steps/example how to do that.

If this last solution won't help I will try the different codes..

Thanks In advance.

Cordially

What method are you using to connect to WiFi?  Do you have Fusion installed?

See THIS.

Leo Laohoo;

Unfortunately, I am using the same method shown on the video. When I click on connect It just keep trying to connect showing : connecting then unavailable then connecting.... and so on.
