Hi, Let's assume that it is a  CISCO AP which is capable to operate in 802.11b/g/n standard. Suppose if you have legacy, very old wireless handheld scanner which runs only on 802.11b, and you have number of laptops they runs on 802.11b/g/n. If you put all this devices in same wireless network connect to the CISCO AP.

My questions is that what wireless standard CISCO AP operate? What will be the throughput of the wireless network?

Does Cisco AP can operate in both standard at the same time over same 2.4Ghz radio to serve to the different clients like 802.11b as well as 802.11g?

How the AP performs will vary client to client, WRT what the client supports.

There are protection mechanisms in place, to allow all the clients to work together.
