Cisco Spectrum Expert PCMCIA to USB

We currently have a Spectrum Expert PCMCIA card that works very well and we cannot afford to move over to the USB style analyzers at this time.

My question would be if anyone has sucessfully used a PCMCIA based card with a computer that does not have a PCMCIA or Express card slot.

Most of the newer laptops are not being produced with any type of PC card slots and we had to buy a refurbished systems with a PCMCIA slot - that's only going to work for so long.

I have researched numerous PCMCIA to USB external adapters, but most of those appear to be primarily used for WWAN air cards and appear to be very finnicky.  Others that I have found state that they may be used for ATA flash and so on.  I really don't know what will/should work with this card.

This model by Synchrotech U111M USB to PC Card Read-Writer

and the Quatech External PC card adapter are the two that I have been researching - they cannot tell me anything about their adapter regarding compatability with the Cisco card.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
