Hi All

i've got a client which has associated with the AP and can see it when i do a who dot11 associations, however it's ip address does not register with the AP.

The client's ip address is hardcoded.

Below is the output for the sho dot11 ass

802.11 Client Stations on Dot11Radio0:

SSID [CraneDSI] :

MAC Address IP address Device Name Parent State

000b.6b1b.46c9 0.0.0.0 4500-radio - self Assoc

i'm not too sure how to troubleshoot this problem as the client associated with the AP fine and when i do and ipconfig on it the details are correct however the AP does not see it. I can't ping to and from the client.

Regards

Nhon

The client may be associated but not authenticated. Look there first, then check your DHCP server, if local, or check your IP HELPER address on the VLAN interface associated with the SSID. Check to make sure the scope parameters match the VLAN subnet and mask.

Thanks for the help, i should have closed off the question. I found out that the client authentication side was the problem.
