Compatibility of AP 1200 Multiple SSIDs with 3rd party cards
Is the "multiple SSID" feature of the 1200 access points compatible with non-cisco 802.11 cards? I put in multiple SSIDs on a 1200 AP with a &b radios, and my Cisco 351 card was able to associate just fine to any of the SSIDs. However, with a netgear WAB501 card I was only able to associate with the primary SSID on both the a & b radios.
Has anyone had any luck getting other non-aironet cards to associate to other than the primary SSID?
Re: Compatibility of AP 1200 Multiple SSIDs with 3rd party cards
Only the primary ssid is broadcast as the standards only allow for one ssid
If the client card supports broadcast ssid off then it will work but you will have to configure the ssid on the client card
Some of the cheaper cards do not support broadcast ssid off but there are a number of cards on the market that do Not sure about the netgear card you mention but maybe if you talk to netgear they can tell you if they support this feature

The 1st installment is a table of advanced filters. More filters will be added as time allows.

I have created a Powershell script to automatically add a Wireless Guest User on Cisco WLCs. (tested on 2500 Series)
The script should be completely self explanatory.
