Configuring a Cisco Aironet 1200 AP as transmit/receive-only

Is it possible to configure a Cisco Aironet 1200 as transmit or receive only?

By default, all APs are designed with capabilities to receive and send radio signals.

The options for receive or transmit available for antenna are:

a. 1 x Antenna - can set to diversity (single antenna can send & receive), receive only, or transmit only

b. 2 x Antennas - both can be set to diversity (can send & receive), or you can set the right antenna to receive, and left to transmit, or the other way round.

BUT if you want to use the AP plainly to either transmit or receive only, maybe you can try to use or plug only one (1) antenna, and set it to either transmit or receive.

But this might looks a bit different from the normal AP usage (can send and receive bidirectional wifi traffic), as there could be a problem with return traffic.

Well, we ended up configuring one of the AP's as a WGB and the other as a Root AP.

It works fine for data transfer. The problem is we need this setup for wirelessly transmitting IPTV signals. The idea is to draw them from the WGB. Doesn't seem to work though.
