Connecting MACBooks to Cisco WLAN

I have a client that has a network built out of Cisco Aironet 1200 Series APs. Local authentication is required and everything else seems to be pretty standard. I have not been able to get the MACBook to authenticate to the network. I got a Cisco PCMCIA card and installed it and the drivers on the MAC and still can not get it to authenticate. Has anyone seen this before or had any luck getting a MAC or airport onto a Cisco WLAN ... not that that should make it any different than any other WLAN.

What authentication type are you using here?. Also, which model of MAC client you are using?. Becasue, in Cisco, there is something called CCX compatibility. Any third party clients which has been verified successfully for CCX compliance will only be able to communicate with Cisco APs. So, can you ensure first whether your client is CCX compatible?.
