hi forum,
I need to configure this DHCP option 43. I am using cisco aironet 1242 AG, my supplier told me i have to use the VCI : Airespace.AP1200, but I found it on the web site that I have to use the VCI: Cisco AP c1240. which one is correct coz my supplier insist I use Airespace.AP1200.
Thanks,

Hi Friend,
Here you go with the link
You just need to use the option command under DHCP config mode
option code [instance number] {ascii string | hex string | ip address}

you can also use the hex calculator at :
http://www.delorie.com/store/hcalc/
this is my configuration :
ip dhcp excluded-address 192.168.121.1 192.168.121.30
!
ip dhcp pool AP1242
network 192.168.121.0 255.255.255.0
default-router 192.168.121.1
dns-server 172.16.160.31 172.16.160.32 172.16.150.38 172.16.209.45
option 60 ascii "Cisco APc1240"
option 43 hex f104.c0a0.7904
lease 30
I am not sure the f104.c0a0.7904 = 192.168.121.4 or not, i haven't test that out yet.
Thank you,
