If i am setting up dhcp on a cisco router 2600, how do i enter option 60 and option 43 commands ?

Hi Friend,

Here you go with the link

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/fipras_r/1rfdhcp.htm#wp1018642

You just need to use the option command under DHCP config mode

option code [instance number] {ascii string | hex string | ip address}

you can also use the hex calculator at :

http://www.delorie.com/store/hcalc/

this is my configuration :

ip dhcp excluded-address 192.168.121.1 192.168.121.30

!

ip dhcp pool AP1242

network 192.168.121.0 255.255.255.0

default-router 192.168.121.1

dns-server 172.16.160.31 172.16.160.32 172.16.150.38 172.16.209.45

option 60 ascii "Cisco APc1240"

option 43 hex f104.c0a0.7904

lease 30

I am not sure the f104.c0a0.7904 = 192.168.121.4 or not, i haven't test that out yet.

Thank you,

py
