Hi, I have 13 A/Ps. I have created a VLAN (VLAN55) which consists of the FA ports where the A/Ps connect. Our laptops , all using Cisco 350 Aironets can get an IP address in the proper (55 net) range. The portable RF units (Symbol scanners, PDT's etc) cannot. When the network was one flat network the laptops and the Symbol devices both could get IP addresses. The DHCP server appears to not be receiving the requests. Each VLAN (1- default and 55
have a sub-interface configured on a FA port on a 3640 router. There is an IP helper-address configured for VLAN55. Trunking is enabled on all required interfaces. I have a tendency to blame the IP stack on the Symbols but wondering if anyone has any ideas.
