How can I discover lightweight 1131AG Access Point using 2106 WLAN Controller.

Hi Friend,

You have to first configure your 2106 WLC with management ip address/mask and gateway and vlan number and then connect your LWAPP AP on infra switch connected to 2106 controller in same vlan and it will join your WLC.

On the other hand if you want your APs to be in different vlan than management subnet defined on your controller then you have to configure either DHCP option 43 or make them learn your controller management ip address via DNS.

How AP will get an IP? Do I have to configure WLC as Internal DHCP?

Hi Friend,

You can either configure controller as internal DHCP or you must be having some external DHCP server correct having pool for management vlan/subnet?
