Guest account during failover to second WLC

Hello,

We have 2 4402 WLC's, the second one is configured as fail over.

We are creating guest accounts on primary WLC. How do we use the guest account during fail over to second WLC ? (of course without configuring the guest accounts on both controllers)

Hi AJ,

You need a WCS management platform for your wireless Guest users to achieve failover.

In a nutshell:

When an AP fails over from its primary controller to its secondary controller, and the user has to re-authenticate, there will be no Guest account in the secondary controller to allow him on the network.

The WLC has no way to send the Guest user credentials to another controller.

Hope this helps.

Paul
