Guest network password not working after changed

I am running a single controller servicing both guest and corp WLAN's.  The password was changed on the guest account and users are not able to authenticate with the PSK.  The password for the "local net users" was changed by mistake prior to changing the Guest network password.

do you use WCS / NCS or the simplified guestnet access from the WLC itself?

I went through the controller.  Seleceted the guest WLAN, Layer2 security tab, changed the PSK.

that's the right way.

Didn't you type of copy the PSK? Sometimes you'll get a white space after...

Did you use strange characters. Try a simple PSK to be sure.

On what WLC version you're running now?

I typed the password, did not copy it from anywhere.  No strange characters, leters and numbers only.  Current version is

6.0.182.0

Hi,

To change a local network user password, you can also use the config netuser password command.

Create a new username and password for a test guest user and try to use that and see if it works.  Your doing webauth correct?

Thanks,

Scott

No web auth just PSK.

Well something isn't right then... if you changed the PSK on the WLC and then your tried to use your iphone to connect and it doesn't, then you need to forget the wireless network on the phone and create it again.  Also you need to make sure that the WLAN is either set to wpa-tkip or wpa2-aes, not both and not a mix of either one.

Thanks,

Scott

In the drop down the only option for WPA is to use WPA+WPA2.  What should i choose in this case?

You keep that configuration, but you need to uncheck WPA Policy
