I have a question about H-REAP. I'm using a 4402 with 10 1231 APs and two SSIDs (guest and staff). I'm expanding wireless to some of my other sites and want to use H-REAP with local switching. The APs going into the remote sites are 1241s so they do support H-REAP.
If I tell configure my staff SSID for H-REAP local switching, will the 10 older 1231 still central switch the SSID since they do not support H-REAP? Or will they just fail to work with that SSID?
Thanks,
Patrick

The 1240's support H-REAP with the 4.0 code on the WLC. Setting the WLAN to h-reap local switching allows you to use the ssid in either h-reap or local mode.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information. I did a test last night and was able to have the same SSID work with H-REAP and central switching.
