I've a wap installed and it's been working fine. Now I have no signal al all. I am new to this facility and don't have much information on this access point. Any ideas?

Re: Help, No signal on wap's

If there is no connection to any other wireless devices, it could be some sort of RF interference that is causing this problem. You may just need to change the channel on the AP to something other than the usual default of channel 6. Here is a good URL to look over. http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/102/wlan/rf-problems.shtml

Re: Help, No signal on wap's

Hi ,

Best way to troubleshoot is to put the WAP and Client in FACTORY DEFAUL CONFIG and see if it works .

If it is Cisco Ap , go to Cisco Services -> Manage system config , you will find

reset Ap to factory default

By default AP has ssid -. tsunami

Also look for any RF interference issue like codeless phone , microwave .
