Help: some error message on Cisco AP

1. Deauthenticating Station xxxx.xxxx.xxxx Reason: Sending station has left the BSS

Under what condition will the AP print this? I can image that if client send out Disassociation or Deauthentication, AP should print this. Is there any other reason can cause AP print this?

2. Warning Packet to client xxxx.xxxx.xxxx reached max retries, removing the client

I heard that if there is heavy interference, this would occurs. But when I did TCP/UDP endurence test with heavy traffic within a clean environment with only the test AP and the client, the AP still have this message. Will heavy traffic cause AP print this?

I have experienced the same issue in the past. The quick fix for it was to change the channel. Hope this helps.

Re: Help: some error message on Cisco AP

1. Deauthenticating Station xxxx.xxxx.xxxx Reason: Sending station has left the BSS

This is printed when a clientleaves the AP's cell. Be it to roam to another AP or has wondered into a null area which has zero coverage.

2. Warning Packet to client xxxx.xxxx.xxxx reached max retries, removing the client

Indication of RF issues, Co-channel interference(CCI) or adjacent channel interference. Or maybe the over utilization of the channel the AP is using. High traffic can cause this. You want to keep max retries to a minimum.

By the way, you only need to post your message in one forum not ever single one.
