Hot Standby configuration with Repeaters

Hello, I have not devices to test and i have a question: Can I use two devices configured as repeaters in a hot-standby redundant configuration. I think that's only possible if the standby one monitors the main device via Air-interface (i think that's right). The second part: Can it work if they both are connected to the same antenna via a splitter?

I understand from these URLs that you can backup only a Wired access point and not the repeater itself. I could not locate any document talking about hot standby for the repeater units.

Nope..The Hot standby unit will moniter the "radio interface and ethernet interface" of primary..So the moment you loose one of them, the standby unit will takeover.

Now in case of repeater, the eth port is disabled already..so repeaters can't be used for hot standby function.
