1.  Go here and download the IOS.

2.  Copy the IOS to the AP and boot the IOS file.

3.  Connect to the network.

After converted to LWAPP, which model of WLC i can use for ?

 any documentation on this?

 Thanks in advance.

Hi,

First follow these steps to convert to LAP:

http://rscciew.wordpress.com/2014/05/07/access-point-conversion-lap-to-aap-and-vice-versa/

WLC Model: Its all depneds on your requirement.

Its a small enterprize then go for 2500 series otherwise go for 5500 series.

as mention in link , the AIR-AP1262N-C-K9 autonomous access points must be running Cisco IOS Release 12.3(7) JA or later to perform the lightweight mode conversion. If not there will not get successful converted?

Hi Mandy,
