How to see if Option 43 is working for the AP

I have configured my dhcp server to provide the WLC IP address to the APs over the option 43, but the AP is not joining to the controller.

I just wanted to check in the AP to see if it's looking for the right controller IP to be sure it was able to get it correclty from DHCP.

I tried to find some console line command to do that but i couldn't find.

the "show lwapp ip..." shows only the manyally configured informations, I would like some command that would say "I'm looking for this controller" is there anyone?

Hi

Connect to LAP and see what is gong on. I will provide you two outputs from LAP. One with improper DHCP option set and one with good.

Thanks for the reply,

Take a look how does it goes at my side, everything seems to be right, there is the "Specific Vendor Attribute" Option 43 = ABCD.. (the controller's IP in hex format) is it right?

Hi

Do you have firewall between WLC and LAP. You have to allow ports 12222 (data) and 12223 (control) to AP manager
