we have a issue on the Fastethernet0 interface of all AP1231G connected to differents switches (WS-C2960G) in different locations on the same customer site.
On the Fastethernet0 of all APs there are a lot of Input-Errors and Throttles, and no other errors. On the switch side there aren't any errors. The ETH Led of each AP is blinking Amber.
We change a week ago all the AP's configuration regarding the Fe0 interfaces in all the APs for activating dot1q and distributing 4 differents VLAN (and 4 differents SSID). Since then the issue was present an the APs.
Here is the show interface:
FastEthernet0 is up, line protocol is up
Hardware is PowerPC405GP Ethernet, address is 001b.2a79.4fa5 (bia 001b.2a79.4fa5)
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 100000 Kbit, DLY 100 usec,
reliability 235/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255
Encapsulation 802.1Q Virtual LAN, Vlan ID 1., loopback not set
Full-duplex, 100Mb/s, MII
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
Last input 00:00:00, output 00:00:00, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters 01:23:44
Input queue: 0/160/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0
The problem persists even there aren't vlans configured, so not 802.1q on the FE port. The configuration of the AP is very simple now but the errors on the FastEthernet of the AP still incrementing on every APs connected on any Catalsyt. I'm sure that isn't a physic-layer issue because the connection is made throught a brandnew (7 ft.) cat 5e UTP cable, and I have the same problem in every AP.
